Health and Beauty Expo
On Saturday, September 23, 2006, It's About Me held their first Beauty Exposition at the Marjorie and William McDonald Center. The attendee and presenters discussed topics such nutrition, hair maintenance, skin care and proper make up application. Raffle prizes were given away to our lucky guest. Special thanks to all of our presentors! The Luxzurious Hair Team (Susie Sanders and Tangela Mitchell), The Mary Kay Team (Ursula Hamilton, Vicky Robinson and Jill Kavanaugh Green), and Lorry Cadet (Personal Nutrition Consultant). Simone Kelly Brown
On Saturday, July 29th, Marketing coach and author, Simone Kelly-Brown conducted an interactive workshop. This workshop helped our attendees uncover their true passion with positive visualization exercises from her book, "Jack of All Trades, Master of None?" Simone states that "We can all live the life that we want. Life is too short to be miserable working at something you hate or overwhelming yourself with too many things. The wrong job or jobs will steal your spirit and bury you alive."

Let's Talk About Sex (July 10, 2004)
In this session, we explored the stereotypes of Black women’s sexuality, then move to exploring concrete ways we can protect ourselves. From topics about Freaks, Gold Digger and Divas to condoms, dental dams, lubes to lotions, this interactive workshop will let us explore all facets of Black females’ sexual experiences.


National Hotel
On November 15th, I.A.M. held a brunch at the beautiful National Hotel on South Beach. This session was to thank all the attendees for their support. We encouraged feedback from participants and a verbal survey was conducted in order to strive for new heights for the new year. Complementary 5x7 Photos were provided by In Focus Photography.


2nd Annual Health and Fitness
Featuring David A Miller/D.A.M. Good Bodies
A NSCA certified strength and conditioning specialist. David has appeared in Heart & Soul magazine, Health Quest magazine, Philly Health & Fitness magazine and radio shows. Davis showed the ladies proper exercising techniques the can try at home home and provided nutritional tips


1st Annual Health and Fitness (September 27, 2003)
I.A.M hosted the first annual health and fitness workshop. The ladies came dressed for a full body workout. Program included: Exercise Programs, Blood Pressure Testing, Stress Management, Body Shaping, wellness Program, Nutrition, Message Therapy and a Skin Care Specialist.


Lorna Owens (July 2003)
You've seen Lorna Owens on NBC, TBN and Caymen TV. The Miami Herald called her a pioneer. Lorna presented on how to Create a Roadmap to Success. Owens is an international motivational speaker and life strategist. She has spoken in over six countries and throughout the US and says her mission is a simple one - ''to transform the planet one workshop at a time''


Elaine Rucker Smith (May 2003)
Author of Sister Sally, Elaine Rucker Smith facilitated this relationship seminar called ''What's Love Got to Do With It?'' on May 31, 2003. The objective of the seminar was to become more of who we are, what role we play in our relationships and what we can do to improve through the word of God. Mrs. Smith discussed the characters in her book Sister Sally, emotional stromgholds, self sabatoge, temptation and forgiveness.
